So the new Abu Dhabi paper is set to launch in March: here's a little DMO call out for any moles in the capital - let us know what's cooking up there?
In staffing news, James Bennett, former Arabian Business helmer, is senior news editor at the new paper, while Alicia Buller (ex Gulf Marketing Review, then features editor at Arabian Business) is coming back from London to be managing editor for Arabian Business.
In fact while we're at it, anyone who'd like to be added to the roster of posters on DMO, just email dubaimediablog at gmail for an invite. And do it under an anonymous name - not from wanker@itp.net or alsayegh@amg.ae - we don't need or want to know who you really are. We don't even know who we are.

If Toot really does champion blogging, you'd know it's bad mannners to post off-topic.
DMO bloggers hardly qualify as "Arab citizens"!
What's the tag line? "The more we blow, the more we toot."?
This the closest I've come to toot since moving to Dubai...
toot toot ahhhhh beep beep ....
toot your own horn, why don't you?
It's astounding that, given the Abu Dhabi paper's fondness for hiring ex Fleet Streeters, Anil Bhoyrul hasn't been snapped up. Surely a man of his integrity would be an asset. As a bonus, he could renew his working relationship with ex-colleague James Bennett. Now that'd be cosy.
To get a gist of the latest get this translated in Google translate:

Does anyone know if this paper is actually going to launch? How close are they to being ready? Do they have any reporters?
Have they produced any dummy editions yet?
so what is the problem?
a better newspaper is birthing
good for the UAE
good for the region
stop complaining
The Editor speaks. However, Dubai Media Observer critics will pass judgement when they see the first copies produced.

I hope it's not the editor - 'a newspaper is birthing'? My grammar sucks but is miles better than that!
Presume you've seen this?
