Poor Campaigners

Life is not so good for Campaign staffers these days. There is no sign of the licence, so they are producing stories for a continually updated edition, just in case they get the go-ahead to actually print something. The website is in a state of disarray (as in, no work has been done on creating one).

The editorial team was last spotted playing cards at their desk, with the Campaign desktop flag fluttering limply in the airconditioned breeze.

Being paid to sit at your desk and do nothing. Why do you feel sorry for them?

besides even if it doesn't work out there'll be other titles that'll just snatch these hacks...bet you there probably are already...

Nobody wants to sit around doing nothing.. getting paid is completely irrelevant. I can't stand just doing nothing. If you feel that way, I truly feel sorry for you.

Nobody likes uncertainty. The license could take some time.. and if ITP can help it, could take forever.

Don't see the problem; the guys on Xpress managed to spend two years doing nothing....

For more than two years, the guys at XMESS got salary increments, heafty bonues and undeserved promotions. Gulf News must have spent a fortune on these guys to produce a shitty rag

Xmess looks a bit better this week. That's not much of an achievement, I grant you.

The Campaign lads are prbably chomping at the bit to dish up more smug, erroneous, arrogant and self-congratulatory tittle-tattle, so the delay is not really cause for concern!

Shitty rag? Tad jealous are we?

Hmmm "tad jealous"..?
Not really sure that anyone is (no I didn't post the previous one).
Feel quite bad for the staffers at Xmess though; what do you put on your cv after you've spent 2 years sitting on your a*se to produce a weekly freesheet...?

I seem to recall the Emirates Today staffers were sitting around on their butts, waiting to launch as well - more than 100 of them in brand new offices and not one word could they write.

Anyone heard the rumour that Campain've got a licence through Fujeirah and are being moved up there?

Yeah - i"d heard Fujeira was trying to get Motivate to move some stuff over there
